Interference 53°N,42°E
Interactive Art Installation
2021
Interference 53°N,42°E is an interactive and immersive installation that uses the metaphor of ship traffic near the shores of Texel, Netherlands to critically investigate the effects of anthropogenic underwater noise pollution. The coordinates in the name are the exact location where these underwater noises were recorded over the course of two years starting January 2018 as part of the ongoing Joint Monitoring Programme for Ambient Noise in the North Sea (JOMOPANS) project.
Project was done in collaboration with Sandipan Nath
